App blocking is not starting

NotRot uses Apple’s Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks. On a compatible iPhone, open Focus, edit a schedule, choose the apps or categories to manage, allow Screen Time access when prompted, and enable the schedule. The app must remain installed. Device restrictions, revoked authorization, or Low Power Mode may affect behavior.

I need immediate access to a managed app

Use the emergency bypass shown by NotRot. This bypass is designed for urgent access and may reset the app’s local focus-token or streak state. You can also disable or delete a schedule in NotRot.

Restore or manage a purchase

Open Settings in NotRot and choose subscription management or restore purchases. Apple handles billing. You can also manage subscriptions in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account.

AI quiz creation

NotRot asks permission before sending selected topics, text, or note images to its backend and Google Gemini. Do not submit confidential, health, financial, or other sensitive information. AI-generated questions can be inaccurate; review them before use. You can turn AI data sharing off in NotRot Settings.

Delete local data

NotRot does not require an account. Deleting the app removes its app-container and shared-extension data from the iPhone. For questions about third-party purchase or AI processing records, email us at the address above.

Requirements

NotRot is currently intended for people age 18 and older. Screen Time controls require a compatible iPhone and authorization from the device owner.
